هدف از این تحقیق بررسی نقش واسطه ای اشتیاق تحصیلی و درگیری تحصیلی در رابطه بین ادراک از عدالت آموزشی و شایستگی تحصیلی در بین دانش آموزان در یادگیری درس تاریخ مقطع راهنمایی شهر بابل بود. روش تحقیق از نوع توصیفی- همبستگی از نوع معادلات ساختاری بود بود. جامعه آماری پژوهش کلیه دانش آموزان مقطع راهنمایی در درس تاریخ به تعداد 2800 بود. ، که با توجه به جدول نمونه گیری کرجسی -مورگان (1970) نمونه تحقیق 338 نفر از دانش آموزان مدارس مقطع راهنمایی شهر بابل به صورت نمونه گیری خوشه ای چند مرحله ای انتخاب شد. برای گردآوری داده ها از پرسشنامه های. اشتیاق تحصیلی گونیوس و کوزو (2015)، پرسشنامه درگیری تحصیلی ریو (2013) ، ارزیابی شایستگی تحصیلی (دیپرنا و الیوت، 1999) و پرسشنامه عدالت آموزشی بهروان و همکاران (1392) بود. استفاده شد. پایایی پرسشنامه ها به ترتیب 87/0، 80/0 و 78/0 و 90/0 بدست آمد. نتایج نشان داد ادراک از عدالت آموزشی بر اشتیاق تحصیلی (185/0= β) تاثیر داشت. و نیز ادراک از عدالت آموزشی بر درگیری تحصیلی (774/0= β) تاثیر داشت همچنین ادراک از عدالت آموزشی بر شایستگی تحصیلی (374/0= β) تاثیر داشت. همچنین اشتیاق تحصیلی بر شایستگی تحصیلی (522/0= β) تاثیر داشت. و درگیری تحصیلی بر شایستگی تحصیلی (346/0= β) تاثیر داشت. و نیز بین ادراک از عدالت آموزشی با شایستگی تحصیلی با نقش میانجی درگیری تحصیلی (380/0 = r) رابطه معنی دار وجود داشت. نتایج نشان داد بین ادراک از عدالت آموزشی با شایستگی تحصیلی با نقش میانجی اشتیاق تحصیلی (270/0 = r) رابطه معنی دار وجود داشت لذا پیشنهاد می شود معلمان می توانند با استفاده از روش های یادگیری خلاقانه و تعاملی، مانند استفاده از شبیه سازی های تاریخی، منابع چند رسانه ای، یا فعالیت های ایفای نقش، اشتیاق تحصیلی را افزایش دهند.
